Check out some of our favorite
local spots in Seattle!

Check back as often as you like to make your plans, as we will be updating this page with more of our favorite spots.
Some of these are hard to drive to, or get parking for, we’d recommend parking nearby and exploring on foot.

  • Peloton Cafe

No, you don’t have to do a workout, and it’s in no way associated with exercising. Peloton Cafe is hyper-local haunt of ours where you can get your bike serviced and also grab an incredible breakfast sandwich and hashbrown. We recommend the meaty kimchi breakfast sandwich, but everything is tasty.

    1224 E Jefferson St,
    Seattle, WA 98122

  • Temple Pastries

You’ve died and gone to pastry heaven. You are in a world of butter and gluten that you never before could have imagined. They also serve our favorite coffee, it’s hard to compare this spot to anything else and their seasonal pastry selection is divine. We recommend a savory quiche, warmed up, eaten immediately.

    2524 S Jackson St #104,
    Seattle, WA 98144

  • Broadcast Coffee

Our other hyper-local haunt for incredible locally roasted coffee and a blueberry scone. If you’re feeling fancy the lemon curd Ellenos yogurt (also locally made) is excellent as well. We typically get the light roast and fight over the last sips.

    1918 E. Yesler Way
    Seattle, WA 98122

  • Chuck's Hop Shop

The land of 1000 beers! This spot is near and dear to us, only three blocks away you can get a beverage of any sort, an ice cream cone, snacks, food trucks, and lots of local gossip at this watering hole. Kid friendly, dog friendly, neighborhoody.

    2001 E Union St,
    Seattle, WA 98122

  • Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market is home to Beecher’s cheese, the very first Starbucks, and our favorite is spot is Market Grill for blackened salmon sandwiches. There are so many goodies in and around this area to check out.

    1531 Western Ave P,
    Seattle, WA 98101

  • Fremont Troll

The Fremont Troll is a big concrete troll hanging out under a bridge, holding onto an old VW Bug. It’s quirky, fun, and makes for the best silly photos.

North 36th Street, Troll Ave N,
    Seattle, WA 98103

  • Gas Works Park

Gas Works Park is one of the best spots in Seattle to hang out. It has big grassy hills, cool old industrial structures, and an amazing view of the skyline across Lake Union. It’s perfect for a picnic, flying a kite, or catching a sunset.

    2101 N Northlake Way,
    Seattle, WA 98103

  • Elliot Bay Book Company

Shelby’s favorite spot in Seattle, a full-service local bookstore with a cafe and lots of whimsy, as well as a great place to spend lots of time while it rains.

    1521 10th Ave,
    Seattle, WA 98122

  • Kedai Makan

Delicious Malaysian dishes. Mark and I love this place! Dishes are great sizes to share, cocktails are fun, and if you don’t like spice, don’t eat the chili oil bits. We order the Kerabu Timun Nanas, Roti Jala with chickpeas, Nasi Lemak with chicken, Sayap Ayam Pedas, and the Laksa Lemak with tofu & prawns. Highly recommend!

  • Molly Moon Ice Cream

Excellent local ice cream, try the salted caramel!
